A new millennium, a new world of glasses

After almost 200 years of perfecting glass blowing techniques, Zalto reached its historic peak in 2006 with the presentation of the current Denk'Art collection. At the beginning of the new millennium, Zalto wanted to invent something extraordinary, something new, something the world had never seen before. Zalto developed the collection from 2001 to 2004, in close cooperation with the Austrian priest and wine specialist Hans Denk.

Along with his work as a priest, Hans Denk has studied and tasted wine for over 30 years, and is known as one of the most inspired and valued wine experts in the world. Together with Austria's best wine producers, Denk was one of the leading architects behind the new Zalto collection. Denk instructed glassmakers in the creation of each glass to evoke all the appropriate qualities in the glass suited to the type of wine for which the glass is made.
